Who I am
My name is Linda Pilar Brodhag.
I am a choreographer.
I also work as a performer and artistic producer.
I live in Freiburg, Germany.
I have been working in dance and theatre since 2012.
What is choreography?
Choreography means: creating movement.
A choreographer decides how bodies move in a space.
But choreography is more than just movement.
It is also about: space, time, sound, and the relationship between people.
Everything that happens on stage is part of the choreography.
What I do

How I think about my work
Bodies
Bodies are at the centre of my work. Every body is different. Every body has its own intelligence.
Movement
Movement shows how things connect. It makes relations visible.
Space
Space is not empty. It changes how we move and feel.
Time
Time gives structure to a performance. How fast. How slow. How long.
Sound
Sound shapes how we listen. It marks time and creates atmosphere.
Material
Objects, light, and texture are also part of the work.
Production
Organising a project is also part of the art. It creates the conditions for the work to exist.

alado is an association — a Verein in German.
The word alado comes from Spanish.
It means: winged.
alado supports artistic projects.
alado is based in Freiburg.
It creates connections between artists, institutions, and communities.
